Database Administrator with French

We operate in nearly 30 countries in the world, hiring more than 55,000 employees. The Polish branch, as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice since 2007 and has been growing ever since. Currently, our team consists of around 1,000 specialists. Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German. The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. We are looking for Database Administrator to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our French clients. Responsibilities:​ Administer, maintain, and monitor Oracle, Cassandra, and MySQL database environments to ensure performance, availability, and reliability. Manage and support Oracle Exadata platforms and database infrastructure, including monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Troubleshoot complex database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Respond to critical incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis, resolution, and service restoration. Perform database maintenance activities, including performance tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications and participate in on-call support when required. Tech stack on the project: ​Oracle DataBases v9, 10, 11 ,12, 19; Oracle EXADATA ( X6 -7-8-9 ); Oracle OEM; CASSANDRA 3.11 cluster MySQL Must have requirements:​ Strong experience with Oracle Databases (9, 10, 11, 12, and 19). Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata (X6, X7, X8, X9). Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Experience in administering Cassandra 3.11 clusters and MySQL databases. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to act quickly and effectively during critical incidents. Availability to participate in an on-call rotation. French language proficiency at B2 level or above. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proactive and detail-oriented. Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively. Being open to working from the Katowice office at least 3 days per week and participating in an on-call support.
