Job Title: Db2 DBA (z/OS)

Duration: long-term B2B contract

Location: 100% Remote

As IBM Z Technical Specialist – Db2 DBA

• Primary responsibility is to design and provide support on the database technology, ensuring customer delight as per the defined size, effort and schedule confirming to quality standards and best practices. Maintain and improve SLA’s. Actively look for automation opportunities, strategize and automate repeat process to achieve organization objectives for efficiency.
• Perform pro-active analysis on day-to-day work to obtain automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardized tasks/processes.

Technical Requirements

• Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business Requirements into technical specifications.
• Production support and Release Management of database environments.
• Hands-on experience as a Db2 for z/OS DBA.
• Prefer experience with Db2 V13 for z/OS.
• Define the physical database Design.
• Build, review, QA, implement, and support application database releases.
• Implement RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and Access authority.
• Build and maintain High Availability setup, replication setups and interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams.
• Data conversion/migration assistance.
