The Role: The Deduction Specialist is responsible for deduction resolution, problem solving, and researching discrepancies with payments from customers. This position will also assist the Accounting department with projects as needed. What You Will Do: . Manage and analyze deductions and short payments on invoices paid Perform weekly calls to customers and brokers for deduction documents Ensure all outstanding deductions are researched and resolved Analyze information to process incomplete payments from customer Complete and process approved credits Responsible for filing freight claim forms Handle all follow up with freight carriers on outstanding freight claims Assist with account receivables functions when needed Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. What You Will Bring: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Basic Accounting experience with Deductions and Cash Application Proficient with Excel, MS Word, and Outlook Strong communications skills both verbally and written Great customer service skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment Compensation Range: $50,000-$60,000 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training.
