Description This position will involve two primary responsibilities: managing a team of 8 team members in the default claims filing team and acting as the primary point of escalation for clients and agencies. Management responsiblities include but are not limited to: Monitoring and directing the work flow in the Claims Department, Managing team members in a mostly remote environment who are located across the country Monitors the activity of loans in Claims Sets goals for staff- prepare and present performance reviews for staff Orders and prepares weekly/monthly reports Reviews of all cases on a regular basis Oversees filing of supplemental claims (when applicable) Client and Agency responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for minimizing potential client and/or company losses Serving as a liaison between clients and senior management. Some activities include but are not limited to developing reports, conducting research, attending client meetings and Ensures compliance with all Investor, Insurer, Company and Client guidelines and requirements. Ensures company goals are met regarding conveyances and claim filing and client/investor delay reporting. Manages and adheres to conveyance/claims as set forth by investor, insurer guidelines Monitors/Reviews payment to vendors in a timely manner Manages and monitors the performance of outside vendors, including making recommendations for replacing vendors who are not performing Adheres to all guidelines and regulations set forth by investors/insurers as well as local/federal laws Performs final loss analysis on loan once all claims funds are received Works in conjunction with attorneys, insurers, PMI companies, investors and master servicers to expedite the completion of the claim and minimize losses Complies with and have working knowledge of all insurer, PMI, investor and master servicer rules and regulations Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for company reputation as well as clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years’ experience in mortgage default operations 3-5 years of claims experience for FHA, VA, USDA Loans Default Servicing, Supervisor, Manage, Research analysis, VA, USDA, FHA, Default Claims, Mortgage, Mortgage Servicing, MSP Strong analytical, accounting and computer skills Strong knowledge of current practices, procedures, and regulations/laws related to default administration Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to learn industry related systems Working knowledge of Black Knight MSP servicing system Ability to accurately work in a fast paced environment within tight deadlines Excellent Coaching and Counseling Skills Excellent Verbal and Written Skills Excellent Organizational Skills and ability to Multi Task Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
