Build your supply chain career while helping make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, your work has real-world impact. As a Demand Planner II supporting our Customer Channels Group (CCG), you'll turn data into insights that help ensure customers have access to the products they need, when they need them. This is an opportunity for an analytical, curious supply chain professional to build hands-on experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory optimization and product lifecycle management within a large, global organization. You'll work with cross-functional partners, analyze demand and inventory trends, and help balance two critical priorities: strong product availability for our customers and healthy inventory performance for the business. You'll also gain exposure to the systems, processes and business decisions behind a complex, multi-location distribution network—creating a strong foundation for continued growth in supply chain planning. What You'll Do As a Demand Planner II, you'll use data, planning tools and business insights to identify changes in demand and help translate them into effective inventory and replenishment decisions. You'll: Analyze demand and inventory trends to identify risks, opportunities and changes in customer demand. Support demand forecasting and demand sensing, using historical trends, seasonality, product lifecycle changes and business inputs to recommend forecast adjustments. Help optimize inventory and product availability by supporting decisions related to safety stock, stocking strategy, order quantities and replenishment lead times. Monitor planning and inventory performance, helping identify opportunities to improve service levels, inventory days and excess or expiring inventory. Partner across the business with supply chain, product management, commercial, finance, IT and other teams to understand changing business needs and translate them into planning actions. Support new products and portfolio changes, including new item introductions, product conversions, portfolio expansion and product discontinuations. Maintain planning system data and parameters to help ensure forecasts and replenishment recommendations reflect current business conditions. Use data to solve problems, working with large datasets to investigate exceptions, identify root causes and turn findings into actionable recommendations. Contribute to continuous improvement, partnering with planning and IT teams on system enhancements, workflow improvements and planning initiatives. What You'll Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics or a related field. 1+ year of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, supply chain analytics or a related area. Inventory optimization, safety stock or replenishment planning experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into useful business insights. Experience with ERP or inventory management systems. (Logility preferred) Working knowledge of data and analytical tools. Experience with SQL, SQL Server, Access or similar tools is valuable. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners. Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-focused environment. Ability to travel approximately 5–10%. Preferred Experience in one or more of the following areas will help you succeed in the role: Demand forecasting techniques incorporating trend, seasonality and product lifecycle changes. Multi-location distribution or complex supply chain environments. SQL, SSIS or other data-analysis/reporting tools. Why Join Thermo Fisher Scientific? You'll join a global team united by a shared Mission: to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. For a supply chain professional, that means the decisions you help make extend beyond inventory metrics. Your work helps support the availability of products used by scientists, laboratories, healthcare organizations and other customers working on some of the world's most important challenges. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, develop your analytical and planning capabilities, work across functions, and build experience within the scale and complexity of a global supply chain organization.
