We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-focused Dental Benefit Claim Technician to join our claims team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in delivering accurate, timely, and thoughtful claims decisions while creating an industry-leading experience for claimants and employers. As a Benefit Claim Technician, you’ll evaluate and adjudicate Dental Group Claims. You’ll manage claims from initial notification through the maximum benefit or duration of the claim, making informed decisions while ensuring compliance with internal policies, contractual provisions, and applicable regulatory requirements. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Hourly Wage: $23.00 - $24.00, plus annual bonus opportunity 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Makes sound, evidence-based claim decisions by thoroughly evaluating claim facts, policy provisions, medical/vocational information, and customer requirements while developing independent decision-making skills. Determines eligibility and financial liability accurately using contract language, payroll, salary, other income sources, and supporting documentation. Builds and maintains strong professional relationships with claimants, employers, brokers, sales teams, vendors, medical professionals, and internal partners through timely, professional communication. Ensures regulatory and procedural compliance by following documented processes, ERISA, federal/state laws, contract requirements, and evolving industry regulations. Delivers a high-quality customer experience through proactive claim updates, clear written explanations, flexibility with unique customer needs, and ongoing communication throughout the claim lifecycle. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Insurance & Claims Expertise: Ability to understand and apply complex insurance contracts, provisions, regulations, and benefit calculations to claim situations. Analytical & Decision-Making Skills: Ability to analyze medical and vocational information, make sound claims decisions, and progress from dependent to independent work. Customer Service & Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally manage difficult situations, de-escalate concerns, and escalate when appropriate. Organization & Adaptability: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, adapt to change, and work with urgency. Technology & Professional Reliability: Proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, and proprietary claims systems, along with basic medical terminology knowledge and dependable attendance. You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do. Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
