Role Description: The Deposit Quality Control Specialist reviews completed Bank Operations work to identify errors, discrepancies, and missing documentation. This role performs ongoing reconciliations and verifications, drives identified issues to correction with the responsible teams, and works closely with management to surface recurring issues and trends – with a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to mandated timelines. In this role you will: Perform reconciliations, reviews, and verifications to mitigate potential risks in accordance with policy, regulation, and law Perform daily balancing and reconciliation activities for internal accounts and bank operations processes, researching and escalating out-of-balance items Perform quality control review of account maintenance activity to confirm accuracy, proper authorization, and that documentation is in compliance with bank policy and filed in a timely manner Work an assigned queue of review requests through an internal ticketing system, meeting daily turnaround expectations Complete recurring reviews by pulling pre-generated reports, performing required verifications, and routing findings to the responsible team for corrections Prepare and review reports on an ongoing basis to identify discrepancies, ensure accuracy of data in systems, and communicate correction action to team members and/or management Communicate findings, recommend improvements, and support implementation of corrective actions Process research requests as it relates to specialty Work closely with management to enhance or correct existing processes Assist with process procedures and reference manuals, such as by testing and making recommendations Accurately prepare reports within set timelines to identify trends and inconsistencies Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2+ years of banking experience; bank operations, account maintenance, or reconciliation experience preferred Experience with daily balancing or reconciliation, including researching and resolving out-of-balance items Working knowledge of deposit regulations and bank policy as they apply to account maintenance and recordkeeping Familiarity with consumer and commercial banking procedures/policies to support quality control functions, including exposure to CIP and Customer Due Diligence requirements Detail-oriented, with the ability to apply established procedures and recognize when something falls outside them Comfortable raising questions and escalating items that don’t fit standard guidance, rather than working around them Comfortable delivering error findings to colleagues directly and professionally Self-starter with strong organization skills, able to manage a daily queue against deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment Adaptable and engaged, comfortable with change and willing to jump in wherever needed What we offer: At Lead, we design our benefits to support company culture and principles, to foster an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to create the conditions for our team to give their best in both work and life Competitive compensation based on experience and role Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k Matching, and other wellness benefits, including FSA, HSA and HRA Paid parental leave Flexible vacation policy, including PTO and paid holidays A fun and challenging team environment in a dynamic industry with ample opportunities for career growth *Lead Bank is proud to have an inclusive culture committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity in all employment decisions regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military status, veteran status or any other legally protected status. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
