DEPUTY MONEY LAUNDERING REPORTING OFFICER (DMLRO) Position Purpose The Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) will be responsible for the quality control of KYC/KYB proccesses, payments and customer alerts, oversight of First Line of Defence processes, and assessment of AML/CFT monitoring systems. The role will also support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in preparing STRs and periodic reports, contribute to the improvement of AML/CFT processes, and cover for the MLRO in their absence. What will you be doing? First Line of Defence Quality Control Perform quality control of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) processes , assessing whether customer identification, risk assessment and documentation comply with applicable legal and internal requirements. Monitor the First Line of Defence’s compliance with ongoing due diligence (ODD) and periodic customer data review deadlines . Provide guidance to the First Line of Defence on KYC/KYB, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and other AML/CFT matters. Transaction Monitoring and Customer Alert Controls Perform quality control of transaction monitoring activities , assessing the quality of reviews conducted by the First Line of Defence and their compliance with established requirements. Perform quality control of customer alert investigations, assessing their quality, timeliness, documentation and appropriate escalation. Review alerts related to sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), adverse media and other relevant financial crime risks. AML/CFT Monitoring System Testing Periodically assess the performance of AML/CFT monitoring systems , including the adequacy and effectiveness of related controls. Test existing monitoring scenarios and participate in the development and implementation of new scenarios . Identify system or control deficiencies and recommend appropriate improvements. Support to and Cover for the MLRO Cover for the MLRO during their absence, ensuring continuity of the function. Support the assessment and preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) . Contribute to the preparation of periodic internal and regulatory AML/CFT reports . Policies, Procedures and Methodology Improvement Participate in the development , review and continuous improvement of AML/CFT and KYC/KYB policies , procedures, methodologies and control measures. Analyse identified control deficiencies, assess their root causes and provide recommendations for remediation. Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions. What will help you succeed? At least 3 years of relevant experience in AML/CFT in a senior specialist, team lead, Deputy MLRO or comparable role. Practical experience in the quality control of KYC/KYB and AML/CFT processes. Experience in preparing internal and regulatory AML/CFT reports . Experience in performing or assessing customer transaction monitoring . Experience in analysing customer alerts , including sanctions, PEP and adverse media alerts. Experience in assessing AML/CFT monitoring systems and testing the effectiveness of monitoring scenarios. Ability to apply a risk-based approach independently and support decisions with sound rationale. Good command of written and spoken English and Lithuanian . Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic and changing environment. Motivation to improve processes, methodologies and control measures. Strong sense of independence, initiative and accountability.
