Job Description - Dermpath Laboratory Histologist - USFTGP Dermatology (260001GO) Job Description Dermpath Laboratory Histologist - USFTGP Dermatology - ( 260001GO ) Description Under general supervision following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, prepares high quality tissue specimens for microscopic examination and performs a wide variety of standard and non-standard histological tests and stains and a limited number of new, modified, or special tests and examinations. Qualifications Required: Associated Degree - Science License/Registrations - Issued by Florida or Compact State Clinical Lab Technologist Work Experience and Additional Information Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Prepare and keep laboratory up to CLIA Standards. Knowledge of CLIA regulations regarding proficiency testing, quality assurance and quality control. Knowledge of medical terminology. Time Management Skills: able to process slides in a timely manner for surgeon/pathologist while patient is waiting.
