Design Engineer – Fab Layout & Tool Hookup Help Shape the Future of Advanced Manufacturing We're seeking a Design Engineer to support the design and development of a next-generation semiconductor fabrication facility. This is an opportunity to work on a highly visible project where you'll help transform concepts into real-world manufacturing solutions, collaborating with engineering, construction, and operations teams from design through installation. What You'll Do Develop 2D and 3D layouts for fabrication equipment, facility infrastructure, and utility systems. Create semiconductor tool hookup packages and utility routing plans. Perform space planning, interference checks, and constructability reviews to ensure efficient facility designs. Convert conceptual requirements into detailed engineering drawings and construction-ready documentation. Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Support projects through installation, startup, and commissioning activities. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, industrial facilities, or a related engineering environment. Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, NX, Navisworks, or similar platforms . Strong understanding of facility layouts, piping systems, utilities, mechanical infrastructure, or tool installations. Ability to work through ambiguity, solve complex engineering challenges, and manage changing priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and project teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bastrop, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
