What You'll Do Lead and Develop the Team Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a remote team of Design Engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. Establish performance expectations and conduct regular coaching and development discussions. Develop onboarding and training programs that strengthen technical and commercial competencies. Partner with Sales to Win Business Support Technical Sales Engineers on complex customer opportunities. Provide expert consultation regarding equipment selection, performance requirements, and system integration. Participate in strategic customer discussions requiring advanced technical expertise. Ensure proposals are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer needs. Drive Engineering Excellence Audit proposals and engineered solutions to ensure: Technical accuracy and consistency Compliance with company and regulatory requirements Alignment with manufacturing capabilities Improve workflows, processes, and standards that support high-quality proposal development. Identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and improve repeatability. Influence Product Innovation Gather customer-driven feedback and market insights. Serve as the technical voice of the customer in product development discussions. Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to enhance existing products and develop future solutions. Support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen AGC Heat Transfer's competitive position. Strengthen Technical Infrastructure Standardize design tools, quoting processes, templates, and application guidelines. Promote knowledge sharing and documentation consistency across the organization. Support CRM, proposal tracking, and forecasting initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness. What You'll Bring Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience 10+ years of relevant engineering and technical leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading and developing technical teams, including remote employees. Strong mechanical and thermodynamic knowledge. Deep understanding of engineered equipment selection and performance calculations. Experience translating customer requirements into practical and commercially successful solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy. Technical knowledge of heat exchangers and/or sanitary process equipment strongly preferred. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while performing computer-based work and participating in virtual meetings. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment and technology. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual platforms. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, engineering documentation, and reports. Ability to travel approximately 10-15%, including overnight travel as business needs require. Ability to visit industrial facilities and customer sites while meeting all safety requirements and PPE standards. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
