Job Purpose Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer. A Mechanical Engineer is involved in defining and improving products - from validating specifications and selecting materials to verifying mechanical compatibility. They ensure compliance with technical requirements and customer specifications while actively contributing to the design of effective solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Early analysis of battery tray design requirements (components, parts, and accessories) Creation of 2D/3D CAD models and production drawings Knowledge of mechanical constraints (tolerances, dimensioning, etc.) Selection of materials and components according to technical requirements, costs, and production processes Designing technical solutions tailored to customer needs Participation in design reviews and FMEA analyses including proposing corrective actions Optimization of design with regard to costs and producibility (manufacturing, assembly, etc.) Using tools and processes related to customer orders Support in the preparation of technical documentation Qualifications University or secondary technical education (mechanical engineering or related ) Very good knowledge of Czech and English; knowledge of French is an advantage At least 2 years of experience in product construction and designing complex assemblies from multiple materials Very good knowledge of mechanics, materials engineering, and industrial processes Requirements Knowledge of the following tools CAD (CREO, SolidWorks, etc.) Experience with the 3D modelling Experience with project work Soft skills Teamwork skills and good interpersonal relations Flexibility and ability to react quickly Diligence, good work organization, and analytical thinking Ability to anticipate needs and propose solutions Independence and initiative EnerSys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
