What You'll Do Join a growing technology team supporting people, projects and critical infrastructure across Queensland. As the Desktop Support Engineer , you will deliver responsive, secure and customer-focused IT support across Queensland Hydro's corporate offices and remote project sites. As the primary point of contact for end-user technology, you'll help staff across Queensland Hydro get the most from their devices, applications and workplace technology platforms. You'll also have the opportunity to work alongside infrastructure, cloud and cyber security specialists on technology projects that support one of Queensland's largest renewable energy developments. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager , you will collaborate across the technology function to support the deployment and maintenance of modern workplace tools, cloud integrations, and user onboarding/offboarding processes. Your key responsibilities will be: Resolve incidents, service requests, and onboarding tasks in line with service standards and SLAs. Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related tools. Manage device setup, imaging, compliance, provisioning, and peripheral support aligned with organisational standards. Administer user identity, group memberships, MFA setup, and access permissions in accordance with access control policies. Support the configuration and integration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID services, including basic configuration of new workplace tools and applications. Who You Are To be successful in this position, you will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. You will bring strong technical capability across end-user support, Microsoft technologies and device management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and continuously improving the workplace technology experience. Microsoft certifications in endpoint or Microsoft 365 administration, such as Endpoint Administrator Associate MD-102, AZ-104 or MS-900, are highly desirable. ITIL Foundation is well regarded. Minimum three years' experience across Level 2 and Level 3 IT support. Demonstrated capability across Windows environments, Microsoft 365 services, and end-user device management. Experience supporting users and systems within regulated environments or critical infrastructure sectors, such as energy, utilities or government, is advantageous. Why Queensland Hydro?
