JPEG Trading is hiring a developer to work across internal tooling, automation, trading-adjacent systems, and product experiments.

About The Role

We’re looking for a strong developer who can build useful things quickly, think clearly about tradeoffs, and operate with a lot of ownership.

You might work on internal tools, automation, data pipelines, trading-adjacent systems, or public-facing product surfaces depending on what the business needs most.

This is a good fit for someone who likes small teams, direct feedback loops, and a wide surface area rather than a narrow lane.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve internal tools that help traders and operators move faster.
• Ship product and infrastructure work across web apps, APIs, automations, and data workflows.
• Partner closely with the trading team to understand operational pain points and turn them into software.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions with speed, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
• Own projects end to end, including implementation, testing, and iteration.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong generalist engineering ability.
• Comfort moving across frontend, backend, scripts, and infrastructure as needed.
• Good product sense and the ability to build with limited supervision.
• Clear communication and a low-ego, high-agency working style.
• Curiosity about markets, crypto, or trading systems is a plus.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript, Python, SQL, or cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with trading systems, exchange APIs, or onchain data.
• Experience using AI tools effectively in development workflows.
