DevOps Cloud Engineer Location Belgium (Hybrid) Contract Start Date: 20 July 2026 End Date: 31 December 2026 Duration: Approximately 5.5 months Workload: Full-time (100%) Remote Work: Hybrid (remote work available) Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern cloud-native platforms and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps best practices, along with a strong background in cloud-native solution design. Experience within the public sector and the waste management/environmental sector is essential. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Develop and manage Kubernetes-based container platforms. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve deployment processes. Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and performance. Support continuous improvement of DevOps practices and cloud architecture. Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, ICT, or equivalent through relevant experience. Minimum 8 years of experience with the required technology stack or similar technologies. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Terraform Designing cloud-native solutions Proven experience working within the public sector . Proven experience within the waste management/environmental sector . Native-level Dutch proficiency ( CEFR C2 ) is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within the Flemish Government. Experience with Ansible (3+ years). Experience with Bamboo. Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Helm. Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation practices.
