DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Location - Bucharest (Hybrid working model): 2 days/week onsite 3 days/week remote Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of EUC platforms. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to virtual desktop infrastructure. Provide technical guidance and support to end users and internal IT teams. Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures. Plan and scale AVD infrastructure to meet evolving business requirements. Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtual desktop solutions with existing infrastructure. Automate and optimize deployment, configuration, and management processes. Stay current with emerging EUC technologies and Microsoft ecosystem updates. Work closely with vendors and third-party providers to enhance platform capabilities. Act as third-level technical support for project-related issues when required. Required Skills & Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with: On-Prem Active Directory Azure Active Directory Microsoft Intune SCCM Workspace ONE / AirWatch Networking and endpoint management Imaging and application packaging Strong expertise in: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Citrix environments Experience with Microsoft 365 administration is highly desirable. Proven experience delivering large-scale EUC and workspace transformation projects, including: Windows migrations and upgrades SCCM to Intune transitions Citrix upgrades and Azure migrations Experience designing, automating, scripting, and supporting Azure services related to EUC platforms. Hands-on knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools: GitHub Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools: Scrum Jira Professional Experience Required 3–5 years (Medior) or 6+ years (Senior) in relevant IT roles. Strong background in IT architecture and End User Computing environments. Experience delivering complex IT transformation initiatives. Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall project environments. Language Requirements Mandatory: English – Fluent (Speaking, Reading, Writing) Preferred Dutch – Basic French – Basic.
