DevOps / Platform Engineer (Contract)

For one of Switzerland's largest telecom and technology environments, we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a cloud-native engineering team working on large-scale platform and automation initiatives.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern backend services using Golang and Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Build and operate cloud-native platforms based on Kubernetes and Docker.
• Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Work with Kafka, relational and NoSQL databases, and modern event-driven architectures.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Ansible, Helm and related tooling.
• Contribute to frontend development using React, Material UI and Vue.js where required.
• Operate and continuously improve business-critical platforms following a true"You build it, you run it" mindset.

Required skills

• Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD and cloud-native environments.
• Experience with Golang and/or Java Spring Boot.
• Good understanding of Kafka, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Fluent English; German is advantageous depending on the team.

• Temporal Workflow Engine.
• GraphQL, OpenID Connect, Open Service Broker APIs.
• Vault/OpenBao, Elasticsearch, Meilisearch.
• Hybrid Cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service environments.
