Company Description ISRM Group is a privately held British firm specializing in information risk management and digital forensics. The organization focuses on gathering and analyzing complex, heterogeneous information exposure intelligence to help clients understand and manage their information risks. ISRM provides auditing and forensic investigative services to support incident response, legal proceedings, and regulatory compliance. The team works with diverse data sources and environments, offering structured methodologies and tools to uncover evidence and deliver clear, actionable insights. Applicants joining ISRM can expect to work in a professional environment that values analytical rigor, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Role Description The Digital Forensics Associate is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting digital investigations and information risk assessments. Day-to-day tasks include collecting, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence from various systems and devices in accordance with established forensic procedures. The role involves documenting findings, preparing clear reports, and assisting in the presentation of technical evidence to internal stakeholders, clients, or legal teams. The associate will help identify indicators of compromise, data exposure, or policy violations, and will contribute to improving internal methodologies, tools, and workflows. Collaboration with senior investigators, participation in case reviews, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements are core aspects of the position.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills, such as log analysis, filesystem and registry analysis, network traffic review, and correlation of artifacts across heterogeneous data sources.
  • Exhibit sound information security and risk management knowledge, including familiarity with incident response processes, exposure assessment, and relevant standards or frameworks.
  • Have solid documentation and communication abilities, including writing structured forensic reports, preparing exhibits, and explaining complex technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Show proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), basic scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Bring strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., GCFA, CHFI, CFCE, EnCE) are an advantage.
  • Maintain high ethical standards, discretion, and a commitment to continuous learning in digital forensics and information risk management.
