Digital Marketing Specialist Job overview We’re looking for a data-driven and results-focused Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing marketing team. This is a newly created role with plenty of opportunity to make an immediate impact on our lead generation, brand visibility and pipeline growth. You’ll take ownership of our paid and organic digital marketing activity, using performance data to identify opportunities, improve results and help us make informed marketing decisions. You’ll be joining a lean and collaborative team, working closely with marketing colleagues across North America and the UK. This is a highly visible role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape and scale our digital marketing activity while seeing a clear connection between your work and wider business results. Success in the role will be measured through tangible outcomes, including increased website traffic, growth in marketing-qualified leads and marketing’s overall contribution to revenue. You’ll initially focus on taking ownership of our live Google Ads campaigns, reviewing our tracking infrastructure and developing core HubSpot dashboards, lead scoring and marketing automation workflows. Over time, you’ll support sustainable growth across organic and paid channels while strengthening our reporting and attribution processes. What you’ll be doing Owning and continuously improving our organic search strategy through keyword targeting, competitor analysis, content recommendations and on-page SEO. Monitoring the technical health of our website, including crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, redirects, broken links and schema markup. Optimising website pages, metadata, internal linking and content performance to improve search visibility and keyword rankings. Keeping up to date with search engine algorithm changes and emerging SEO best practice. Using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Working with our web development agency and internal stakeholders to implement technical SEO improvements. Managing and optimising paid media campaigns, with a primary focus on Google Ads. Overseeing campaign budgets, bidding strategies, audience targeting, advert testing and landing-page alignment. Maintaining accurate conversion tracking across paid marketing channels. Analysing campaign performance and recommending ways to improve lead quality, conversion rates and return on investment. Supporting testing activity and contributing ideas to the ongoing development of our digital channels. Building and maintaining HubSpot dashboards to measure campaign performance, MQL generation, funnel conversion and marketing’s contribution to pipeline. Developing and maintaining workflows, lead scoring models, audience segmentation, subscription preferences and marketing automation programmes. Supporting the quality and accuracy of our CRM and marketing data to strengthen reporting and attribution. Monitoring website, campaign and funnel performance across paid and organic channels. Analysing attribution, conversion journeys and customer behaviour to support marketing decisions. Conducting A/B testing and performance analysis to drive continued improvement. Presenting clear findings, insights and recommendations to marketing leaders and other key stakeholders. We’d love to hear from someone that Has three to five years’ digital marketing experience within a B2B organisation. Has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing,Communications, Business or a related subject. Has proven experience managing both paid and organic digital marketing activity. Has hands-on experience using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and Google Ads. Understands SEO best practice and the fundamentals of technical SEO. Has experience using a content management system such as WordPress. Is comfortable managing budgets, forecasting spend and optimising performance against measures such as cost per lead, cost per acquisition, return on advertising spend and lead volume. Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience of dashboards, attribution models, conversion tracking and A/B testing. Can turn complex marketing data into clear, meaningful business insights. Communicates confidently and can work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams and locations. Is comfortable working independently, taking ownership and making recommendations based on evidence and performance data. Experience using HubSpot Marketing Hub would be an advantage, along with HubSpot, Google Ads, Google Analytics or Meta Blueprint certifications. Experience within HR technology, staffing, professional services or another considered-purchase B2B environment would also be beneficial, as would previous experience working with distributed or international marketing teams. Based in San Diego with hybrid preferred, although remote working may be considered Salary is $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and location What’s next?
