Position Summary As Director, AI Engineering and Enablement within Bristol Myers Squibb’s AI Engineering and Enablement team, you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Enterprise AI applications. Drive the technical strategy for Gen AI solutions, ensuring robust integration, security, and performance across the organization. Key Responsibilities Enterprise GenAI Solution Development Architect, design, and build end-to-end GenAI applications Define solution architectures for leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalability, reliability, and security. Present and propose technical solutions that fit requirements. Plan and coordinate project deliveries to ensure timelines and business needs are met. Hands-On Engineering Leadership Develop core features and infrastructure; write production-grade code in Python, React, and other languages as needed. Lead implementation of best software engineering practices (modularity, version control, CI/CD, automated testing). Perform code and architecture reviews to ensure robust, maintainable, and high-performing solutions. Drive adoption of engineering best practices across the organization. BMS Internal Set standards for thorough, clear documentation of architectures, processes, and code. Team Management & Mentorship Directly manage a engineering team (senior & junior engineers), overseeing hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day activities. Provide technical mentorship; foster a culture of innovation, learning, and inclusiveness. Set clear objectives, track progress, and conduct regular performance reviews. Framework Expertise Research, design, and implement Agentic AI solutions using frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph. Build autonomous genAI agents capable of reasoning, multi-step workflows, and tool-usage. Optimize agent performance, reliability, and compliance for enterprise production. Evaluate emerging AI techniques, tools, and frameworks; make strategic recommendations. Champion AI/engineering best practices, foster continuous learning through tech talks and workshops. Full Stack Development & Deployment Develop intuitive user interfaces in React; integrate front-end with back-end APIs and AI models. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to drive adoption and usability of AI applications. Maintain and evolve RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI applications using cloud-native infrastructure—containers, CI/CD, and observability tools. Oversee cloud resources ensuring cost optimization and performance. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years in software/AI engineering; 3+ years leading technical teams. Proven experience developing and deploying enterprise applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Advanced skills in Python, React, and familiarity with modern GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, etc.). Strong understanding of AI application lifecycle, security, compliance, and performance optimization. Compensation Overview: Princeton - NJ - US: $193,040 - $233,913 The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance. Benefits: Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, you may be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefit plans – including wellbeing support, retirement and financial protection benefits, and insurance offerings (medical, dental, vision, life and disability). U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year. Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
