Role Summary The Director, Capacity Strategy position is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling MODE Global’s carrier network to ensure reliable, cost-efficient, and digitally enabled capacity across all modes. This leader oversees carrier onboarding and engagement teams while driving strategic carrier partnerships, network design, and supply-side ecosystem growth. This role plays a critical part in strengthening MODE IQ’s ecosystem liquidity, improving carrier adoption of digital tools, and ensuring MODE delivers consistent service and competitive capacity solutions to customers and agents. Key Responsibilities Carrier Network Strategy & Development Design and execute MODE’s capacity strategy to ensure coverage, density, and service reliability across core markets. Develop carrier segmentation and engagement models (enterprise partners, preferred network, long-tail ecosystem carriers). Identify capacity gaps and implement sourcing strategies to improve network balance and responsiveness. Lead initiatives to increase carrier retention, loyalty, and share of wallet. Strategic Carrier Partnerships Establish and manage executive relationships with key carrier partners. Build preferred carrier programs and dedicated capacity solutions. Negotiate strategic agreements aligned with service, pricing, and network priorities. Develop collaborative growth programs with high-performing carriers. Product Management/Ownership Ownership and direct management of key carrier-facing products MODE IQ Ecosystem Supply Growth Drive carrier adoption and engagement within MODE IQ. Improve ecosystem liquidity, responsiveness, and digital participation. Partner with product and digital teams to enhance carrier experience and automation. Develop incentives and programs that accelerate digital adoption and platform utilization. Carrier Onboarding & Engagement Leadership Lead teams responsible for onboarding, education, and support of carriers. Ensure onboarding processes scale efficiently while maintaining compliance and quality standards. Enhance training and engagement programs to improve digital proficiency and participation. Risk, Compliance & Network Integrity Partner with compliance and risk teams to strengthen carrier vetting and fraud prevention. Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and insurance standards. Implement performance and accountability frameworks for network quality. Demonstrated success building and managing large carrier networks. Experience negotiating and managing strategic carrier partnerships. Strong understanding of market dynamics, capacity cycles, and service reliability drivers. Preferred Experience Experience with digital freight platforms or ecosystem-based models. Familiarity with carrier compliance, fraud prevention, and safety programs. Background working with network optimization, pricing, or freight analytics tools.
