The Director, CERIS Operations is responsible for providing leadership, strategic planning, operational management, and implementation of standards and continuous improvements across non-review business operations. This position leads operational performance across non-clinical functions and provides guidance and direction to ensure compliance with established operating standards, process and product enhancements, and effective workforce and production planning. This role works closely with the Director of Audit Services and the Director of Policy and Payment Integrity to support and exceed annual objectives and long-term growth strategies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive operational excellence across non-clinical business functions, with a focus on: Delivering client value and enhancing client experience Standardization of processes Scalability of operations Operational effectiveness Operational efficiency Lead and implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements across CERIS Provide direct oversight and accountability for non-clinical operational departments Oversee Set-Up, Procurement, Data Capture, RCM, Closing, and other functions within scope Actively participate in company meetings, calls, and cross-functional initiatives Lead by example while providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members and direct reports Foster and promote the CorVel and CERIS culture across all employees Develop and maintain effective communication channels across cross-functional teams Continuously evaluate and improve operational metrics, policies, procedures, and best practices Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, policies, and procedures Perform additional duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner Strong understanding of data, systems, and operational processes within a scalable business environment Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and present effectively to a variety of audiences Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and all levels of the organization Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field; or 7+ years of equivalent education and experience in operations management with significant healthcare industry knowledge Experience in Payment Integrity preferred PAY RANGE: CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time. For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
