Director, Certifying Examination Administration 📍 Michigan-Based Hybrid - Remote Eligible | Full-Time | Exempt ABEM is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director, Certifying Examination Administration to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of our high-stakes Certifying Examination program. In this role, you will lead exam administration, operational readiness, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement while ensuring a high-quality experience for candidates, volunteers, and staff. You will serve as the Administrative Lead for all Certifying Exam administrations and work closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful exam delivery. What You'll Do Lead administration of ABEM's Certifying Examination program. Drive exam readiness, operational planning, and risk mitigation. Oversee logistics, volunteer coordination, candidate management, and staffing needs. Partner with technology teams on system enhancements, testing, and platform reliability. Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning. Lead change management, process improvement, and post-exam reviews. Develop dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting. Attend all Certifying Exam administrations (approximately 9 weeks of travel annually). What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Education, Health Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). 7+ years of experience in program management, certification, credentialing, assessment operations, or a related field. Experience leading complex, high-stakes programs with multiple stakeholders and timelines. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with change management, operational readiness, and process improvement preferred. Experience working with technology platforms, testing, and system implementations preferred.
