Director, Clinical Research Scientist

Job Title: Clinical Research Scientist – Inflammation, Autoimmune & Dermatology Job Description The Clinical Research Scientist will partner closely with cross-functional project teams to advance high-priority Phase II and Phase III registrational programs. The role combines strategic asset-level responsibilities with hands-on involvement in protocol development, data review and cleaning, and study execution support. You will collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and study teams, working within established processes and templates and benefiting from a structured onboarding program. Responsibilities Support clinical development programs in the Inflammation & Autoimmune and Dermatology portfolio within Medical Affairs. Contribute to protocol development, including clinical study design and alignment with overall program strategy. Perform detailed review, cleaning, and interpretation of clinical study data to ensure quality and accuracy. Provide day-to-day study execution support in partnership with Clinical Operations and cross-functional study teams. Work strategically at the asset level while maintaining hands-on involvement in study deliverables and systems. Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, CROs, and other project team members to drive study progress. Utilize clinical systems such as Veeva to support protocol management, data review, and study documentation. Apply knowledge of Phase II and Phase III clinical trials, including registrational studies, to guide study conduct and decision-making. Contribute to clinical development plans and help shape overall program strategy for assigned assets. Operate within established processes and templates, ensuring compliance with internal standards and study workflows. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment while meeting timelines and quality expectations. Participate in cross-functional discussions and meetings, including early morning meetings with European teams when needed. Engage in occasional travel for team meetings and business needs as required. Essential Skills Proven Clinical Research Scientist experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments. Experience supporting Phase II and Phase III clinical trials, with a strong focus on registrational studies. Strong understanding of clinical study design, protocol development, and clinical trial execution. Demonstrated experience reviewing, cleaning, and interpreting clinical study data. Ability to contribute effectively to clinical development plans and asset-level program strategies. Familiarity with clinical systems, including Veeva, and the ability to work within established templates and workflows. Experience partnering closely with Clinical Operations, CROs, and cross-functional study teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and cross-functional collaboration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex clinical research challenges. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Adaptable and detail-oriented approach, with comfort working within defined processes and structures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in Immunology, Inflammation & Autoimmune, Dermatology, or related therapeutic areas, with a particular focus on Dermatology preferred. Background working across multiple therapeutic areas (TA) with an understanding of relevant biological pathways. Advanced scientific degree preferred, such as PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent scientific or life sciences Background. Relevant clinical research experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and project teams. Strategic thinking capability to understand asset-level objectives while managing day-to-day study activities. Comfort working within a highly collaborative environment that values proactive communication and partnership with clinical teams. Work Environment This is a fully remote position designed for a highly collaborative, fast-paced clinical research environment. Work is primarily aligned to East Coast time, with East Coast time zone strongly preferred due to regular collaboration with European teams and early morning meetings; candidates in Central Time Zone will also be considered. You will work within established systems and templates, including the use of Veeva and other clinical platforms, supported by a structured onboarding program that provides training on internal systems, processes, and study workflows. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120.00 - $122.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
