Salary Range: $130,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually Job Summary: The Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy is a senior-level leader responsible for leading the annual and quarterly strategic planning process for their portfolio of internal clients, developing comprehensive product marketing and go-to-market strategies at agency caliber for the organization’s most complex initiatives, and ensuring all deliverables meet strategic quality standards before partner delivery. This role supports the Senior Director in building the frameworks, brief standards, and planning processes that govern the marketing strategy function. This role builds marketing strategies from the ground up for Tier 1 initiatives, including ministry program and product launches — audience acquisition, channel architecture, messaging frameworks, and engagement strategies for programs where no existing campaign infrastructure exists. These strategies are formalized through strategy and creative briefs detailed enough for both internal creative and digital teams and external agency partners to execute against, ensuring one coherent strategic vision across all resources. The Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy serves as the strategic partner to ministry program leads for their portfolio — owning the relationship, managing budget allocation for their initiatives, resolving conflicts, and proactively identifying growth opportunities. As the marketing strategy function grows, this role is expected to take on direct management of Marketing Strategists — including day-to-day coaching, performance appraisals, and building bench strength within the function. Candidates must bring proven people management experience. Based upon department needs, the Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy may assume responsibilities associated with other roles to ensure continuity of strategic support. Identify with and participate in a Christian church and proactively seek to grow in their Christian faith. Actively participate in organizational prayer, devotional times, and organization-wide events. Maintain an exemplary standard of Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct within ABS and in their public and private life outside of ABS and always seek to uphold ABS’ Standards of Conduct and Affirmation of Biblical Community. Demonstrate Christian maturity in all interactions as displayed by good judgment based on biblical values and principles. Actively incorporate their faith in all aspects of their daily work. Demonstrate desire and ability to support organizational biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities without reservation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Portfolio Leadership Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning process for their portfolio of internal clients — collaborating with the Senior Director and Program Management to translate approved business objectives into marketing strategies, programs, and campaigns. Develop comprehensive, ground-up marketing strategies for Tier 1 initiatives where no existing campaign infrastructure exists — building audience acquisition, messaging, and channel strategies at agency caliber. Synthesize partner needs, market trends, and audience insights across their portfolio to identify strategic patterns, inform planning recommendations, and surface emerging opportunities for the Senior Director’s consideration. Evaluate the sufficiency of available audience data, market intelligence, and partner-provided research across their portfolio — identifying gaps that require investment in new research or data capabilities and escalating organizational-level needs to the Senior Director. Manage budget allocation for their portfolio of internal clients — making allocation decisions between in-house execution and external vendor engagement in coordination with the Director of Operations and Program Management. Support the Senior Director in developing and refining the planning frameworks, brief standards, and quality criteria that govern the marketing strategy function — contributing to the scalable systems and processes the team operates within. Marketing Strategy & Creative Direction Develop program and project-level strategy and creative briefs for Tier 1 initiatives — defining target audience, messaging strategy, channel strategy, and success metrics. Support the Senior Director in establishing brief standards and quality criteria across work types. Ensure the strategic quality of all deliverables within their portfolio before escalation to the Senior Director for final review. Present and defend strategy and creative work to internal partners, selling the strategic rationale and securing approval to proceed.
