Is this job info correct?

Director, Mental Health - Canada | 2 Year Contract Annual Salary: CA$120,000 - CA$125,000 DO GOOD - Apply Now Men are dying too young - and it doesn’t have to be that way. Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives. Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a mustache-powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling. DO GOOD. Work for Movember. Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it): Young men's mental health in Canada is at a critical juncture. Movember is making its most significant investment in the Canadian market to date to change that, and this role leads it. As Director, Mental Health, Canada, you'll be Movember's leading voice on men's mental health in the Canadian market. You'll lead the in-market strategy, design, implementation, and stewardship of Movember's Mental Health portfolio, with a particular focus on young men aged 12 to 35 across promotion, prevention, and early intervention. That means co-leading the Canadian delivery of global initiatives like the Community Men's Health Research Program and Inclusivity in Sport, and leading market-specific programs including Breaking the Ice, Movember's flagship partnership with the Western Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League. It means growing esports and gaming work that reaches young men where they actually spend time, and driving cross-cutting research on the online environment, AI, and social connection, developed in genuine partnership with young men and the organisations that engage them. You'll lead programmatic design end to end, from needs assessment and planning through to implementation and monitoring, evaluation and learning. You'll embed clinical governance, safeguarding, and lived experience into everything you deliver, and you'll work closely with Canada-based income teams, Marketing and Communications, and Policy and Advocacy to ensure your programs are funded, visible, and influencing the right conversations. As a member of the Canadian leadership team, you'll work in a matrix relationship with the Country Director, Canada, contributing to country strategy, planning, and prioritisation across the market. And you'll lead a team of your own, with clarity on roles, accountabilities, and ways of working that foster a genuine learning culture. This is a senior leadership role for someone with deep mental health and programmatic expertise, strong sector networks in Canada, and the drive to build something that genuinely moves the dial for young men. No Moustache Required - but the following are: Deep expertise in mental health and/or community development, with a strong understanding of evidence-based approaches to promotion, prevention, and early intervention. Proven ability to lead within matrix organisations, bringing clarity to roles, accountabilities, and ways of working across distributed teams. Demonstrated experience in strategising, influencing, advocating, and building coalitions of internal and external stakeholders. A proven track record of translating strategy into action, including leading the implementation of a portfolio of impact initiatives to measurable outcomes. Proven ability to achieve impact through cross-sector collaboration, including with community organisations, researchers, funders, and delivery partners. A change agent mindset: comfortable challenging norms, leading disruption, and operating at pace. Strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and participant safety in the delivery of mental health programming. Not Mission Critical - but for extra bonus points: Experience with collective impact models, fund stewardship, and scaling evidence-based interventions. GOOD CAUSE: Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives. We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide. By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve. GOOD VIBES: We love weekends. That’s why our Fridays finish early for nine months of the year. But we also love our office vibe. Because here, it always feels like something big is about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an open invite for all to hit the pub. Come the hairy season, the energy cranks up. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. But, for those who prefer calm, no probs: hybrid working means you work where you feel best. GOOD CREW: Spoiler alert: we’re a no-ego, all-impact crew. That means everyone gets a say, from new starters to those leading the charge. Collaboration over hierarchies, curiosity over rigid process. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. We work as one, sharing expertise and celebrating wins. All in the name of making the biggest impact across the globe. United, we Mo. Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives. Movember is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community and workplace - a place where we can all be ourselves, and each have the equal opportunity to succeed and be recognised for our unique contribution. We value the experiences, skills and perspectives of all individuals and actively encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds. We make recruitment decisions based on applicants’ skills, experience, and knowledge, ensuring all applicants are treated fairly. Reasonable accommodations are also available on request for differently abled candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process. A quick note on AI We use our AI mate Joel to help with the first stage of screening. It lets more great candidates move past the application stage and into the process faster. Don’t worry though, real humans make all the final decisions. And if you’d rather skip Joel and chat with a recruiter instead, you’ll always have that option. Do you want to DO GOOD? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Team Institute Locations Toronto Remote status Hybrid Employment Status Fixed Term Full-Time About Movember Movember is the global leader in men’s health.
