The Role What you will do Define and maintain the narrative and messaging architecture for the Consult portfolio and for each proposition within it — the argument, the language, the proof points and how they connect. Build the seller-facing storylines and best-practice pitch that consultants use in client conversations, and make sure they are adopted in the field. Shape and govern the Consult point of view and thought leadership, in partnership with Marketing and Corporate Affairs. Identify emerging market shifts and translate them into activation plays — narrative, assets, sequencing and a demand plan — mobilised in days rather than quarters. Act as the connection point between the proposition portfolio and Marketing, so that every launch goes to market with a demand-generation plan attached. Set the creative direction and quality standard for proposition assets, briefing and steering agency partners on production. Own naming strategy and governance across the proposition portfolio. Build, coach and grow a small team of narrative and activation specialists. Who you will work with This is a highly connected role. Influence and partnership are how the work gets done. Consult Marketing and demand generation — on campaigns, content and the go-to-market plan behind every launch. Portfolio and proposition leaders — as their single point of contact for narrative and messaging. Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Strategy — on thought leadership and market positioning. Enablement and the global consulting community — so the story lands with the people who tell it. Global go-to-market teams — on sales tooling, content distribution and field adoption. External agency and creative partners — on design, production and campaign assets. Why this role Kyndryl Consult is at an early and formative stage, and this function is being built rather than inherited. You will set the architecture, not maintain someone else's. The work is measured on commercial outcome — pipeline, adoption, speed to market — rather than on volume of content produced, which is unusual for a narrative role and is deliberately the point of it. Who You Are What you bring Required Significant experience in narrative strategy, messaging, or product and portfolio marketing leadership within a complex B2B technology, consulting or professional services environment. A track record of building messaging architecture across a portfolio of offerings — not a single product, and not campaign copy alone. Demonstrated ability to turn a market theme into commercial momentum, with evidence of the outcome. Outstanding writing and editorial craft. This role holds the pen. Experience creating sales-facing narrative that sellers genuinely adopt and use. The ability to work through influence across marketing, communications, strategy and sales functions. Comfort setting creative direction and holding agency partners to a high standard. Experience leading and developing a small team. Preferred Experience in a global, matrixed organisation operating across multiple markets. Familiarity with measuring narrative and content impact through to pipeline and revenue. Background in enterprise technology services, cloud, security or digital transformation.
