Job Title: Director of Business Operations

About the Company:

Our client is a global practitioner-built internal audit and risk advisory firm led by former CAEs and Big Four alumni. They deliver co-sourced internal audit, EQA conformance, SOC 2 readiness, ERM, fraud risk management, SOX compliance, cybersecurity, and AI governance. They are an IIA Authorized Licensee and a NASBA-accredited CPE provider.

Job Description:

Our client is hiring a Director of Business Operations to work in parallel with the firm's Chief of Staff, expanding operational capacity and execution leverage across a high-growth professional services firm. This role owns a defined portfolio of programs, projects, and content initiatives and serves as a force multiplier for the CEO and leadership team. The ideal candidate thinks in systems, executes with discipline, and can manage events, content pipelines, project workflows, and vendor relationships simultaneously.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Own a defined portfolio of firm initiatives from kickoff through completion; maintain project plans, timelines, owner accountability, and status reporting.

• Build and manage leverage models: identify repeatable workflows, document processes, and create systems that expand firm output capacity.

• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across advisory delivery, accounting, content, and business development teams.

• Support planning and execution of speaking engagements, client roundtables, firm-hosted events, and NASBA CPE webinar programs end to end.

• Manage registration platforms, attendee communications, sponsor deliverables, and post-event follow-up.

• Maintain the firm event calendar with milestones, pre-event checklists, and accountability assignments.

• Drive content development across The Risk Register blog, LinkedIn, newsletters, and CPE program materials.

• Coordinate with internal contributors and external contractors to maintain publishing cadence and quality standards.

• Track content performance metrics and translate analytics into calendar and topic adjustments.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 4+ years in operations management, program management, or a director-level business role in professional services or consulting

• Proven project management skills; experienced with Monday.com, Notion, Asana, or equivalent platforms

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex concurrent workstreams with minimal direction and high follow-through

• Excellent written English; able to produce executive-quality documents, briefs, and communications independently

• Strong content coordination instincts; experience managing editorial calendars or content pipelines

Preferred Skills:

• Background in professional services, internal audit, risk advisory, or management consulting

• Event logistics experience at the 50-500 attendee scale

• Experience building SOPs and operational leverage systems in a growing firm

• Exposure to the IIA professional community or internal audit ecosystem

Personality:

• Thinks in systems

• Executes with discipline

Software & Tools:

• Monday.com, Notion, Asana, or equivalent platforms

Schedule:

Full-time strongly preferred

Part-time considered for candidates with demonstrated deep subject matter fit

Consistent daily US Eastern time overlap required

All work remote

Salary and Benefits:

• Payment in USD or Local Currency according to candidate's preference.

• Full-time remote opportunity.
