Build the Financial Foundation of a High-Growth Business
Plona Partners is a rapidly growing U.S.-based legal staffing and recruiting firm serving many of the nation's leading law firms. As we continue to expand our permanent placement business and prepare for the launch of additional workforce solutions, we're looking for our first executive-level finance leader.
This is not a traditional accounting role.
We're looking for someone who wants to build a finance organization from the ground up.
The Director of Finance & Operations will work directly with the CEO to design the financial infrastructure that will support the next stage of our growth. This individual will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, cash management, collections, budgeting, financial controls, vendor management, and strategic decision support while developing the systems and processes necessary to scale the business.
What You'll Own
- Annual budgeting and long-term financial planning
- Rolling forecasts and executive financial modeling
- Weekly executive reporting and KPI dashboards
- Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
- Accounts receivable, collections, and working capital management
- Financial controls and process development
- Vendor and banking relationships
- Commission reporting and payroll oversight
- Contract management and financial compliance
- Financial infrastructure supporting future Temporary Staffing operations
- Executive financial analysis and strategic recommendations
What Success Looks Like
During your first year you will:
- Build a finance department that operates independently of the CEO's day-to-day involvement.
- Implement executive reporting that provides complete visibility into the financial health of the business.
- Improve collections and cash flow management.
- Develop scalable financial systems and internal controls.
- Build the financial infrastructure necessary to support future growth initiatives.
- Become a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Experience within staffing, recruiting, consulting, SaaS, or professional services is highly desirable
- English Fluency Highly Preferred
Leadership Characteristics
The successful candidate will:
- Think strategically while executing operationally.
- Take complete ownership and accountability.
- Build scalable financial systems.
- Anticipate problems before they become executive issues.
- Make decisions based on data rather than assumptions.
- Communicate confidently with executives, clients, vendors, banks, and advisors.
- Create structure where none exists.
- Deliver solutions—not simply reports.
Why Join Plona Partners
This is a unique opportunity to become the architect of an entire finance function inside a rapidly growing business.
- If you're motivated by building systems, influencing executive decisions, and creating long-term enterprise value rather than simply maintaining financial statements, we'd love to hear from you.
