Actively contribute as a producer while building the team’s ability to generate new business, retain accounts, and deliver trusted service. Develop insurance strategies, business plans, implementation roadmaps, and measurable initiatives, then lead their execution through completion. Identify and pursue opportunities to grow OCCU’s Personal Lines and Commercial Lines business. Evaluate and improve insurance products, pricing, service offerings, workflows, and delivery methods to strengthen member value and program profitability. Manage carrier and external partner relationships while identifying new products, vendors, and market opportunities. Establish and oversee effective sales, service, renewal, and policyholder-support processes. Use market research, member feedback, production results, book revenue, renewal activity, and service measurements to evaluate performance and guide decisions. Ensure procedures and workflows remain responsive to regulatory requirements, errors and omissions considerations, market developments, and changes in technology. Communicate program performance, strategic priorities, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and the CUSO Board of Managers. Build trusted partnerships throughout OCCU and model big-hearted, tenacious, and humble leadership. What We’re Looking For: A minimum of five years of demonstrated insurance industry experience, including experience growing and/or operating an insurance agency focused on Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Deep insurance industry knowledge and a proven ability to grow an insurance business line. Demonstrated success as a producer and a leader of sales, service, or insurance operations teams. Proven ability to translate strategy into action, establish measurable goals, hold others accountable, and adjust plans based on results. Strong knowledge of insurance products, carrier relationships, renewals, agency workflows, sales and service measurements, market trends, and business profitability. A leadership approach centered on coaching, development, trust, accountability, and consistent communication. Strong analytical, business-planning, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and operational decision-making skills. Ability to build influential partnerships with internal stakeholders, carrier partners, vendors, team members, and members. Strong organization, prioritization, documentation, and project leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing demands while maintaining accuracy. Demonstrated ability to lead through change, remain effective under pressure, and advance initiatives in an evolving business environment.
