Role Description We’re seeking an experienced Director of Operations to partner with our senior leadership and project teams, focusing on Calgary, with periodic collaboration in Toronto. You’ll help design and implement transformational change initiatives that support major construction programs and organizational growth. Be part of transformational programmes shaping organizational effectiveness and project delivery excellence. a work environment where safety is always the number one priority monthly employee appreciation events a vibrant corporate culture career development opportunities exclusive employee discounts Who You Are: 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with progressive leadership responsibility Strong experience managing project management, estimating, and operations teams Deep understanding of construction project lifecycle, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration Experience implementing and optimizing construction management systems and operational processes Familiarity with industry tools such as Procore or similar project management platforms Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and build strong internal and external relationships Highly organized with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational involvement You Also: Take responsibility for your success and failure Believe in delivering excellence and finding solutions to problems that stop others from forging ahead Are a forward thinker Are resilient in overcoming obstacles and have deep dedication towards your work Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight to Estimating, Project Management, and Project Coordination teams Work closely with the Managing Partner to improve operational performance, productivity, and profitability Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and policies to support company growth Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments and project teams Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure successful delivery Oversee project documentation and reporting including cost reports, RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, and closeouts Support contract negotiations and project setup during the pre-construction phase Lead weekly operational and project meetings to review progress and resolve issues Develop training programs and operational protocols for Project Managers, Coordinators, and Estimators Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers Support strategic planning and operational forecasting to align with company growth objectives Monitor and promote the effective use of construction management systems such as Procore Support high-level project oversight to identify potential risks and ensure smooth execution Participate in project kick-offs, coordination meetings, and closeouts Assist with team development, hiring, and performance management What We Value: admire constructive thinkers. value trust and transparency. believe it's the little details that make for an exceptional customer experience. establish a successful culture from the inside out.
