The Director of Philanthropy Operations, Mosaic Life Care, provides strategic and operational leadership for all philanthropy internal functions, ensuring efficient, compliant and scalable support across all philanthropic programs, including the Mosaic Life Care Foundation. This role oversees development operations, data and analytics, gift processing, prospect research, donor services, planned giving, communications, annual giving and stewardship, enabling the organization to maximize fundraising effectiveness and impact. Partners with the President of Mosaic Life Care – Philanthropy, President of Mosaic Life Care Foundation and Mosaic executive leadership to integrate operational strategy with enterprise-wide fundraising goals Supports campaign planning, performance metrics and system-wide philanthropic initiatives Provides strategic direction to planned giving, communications, annual giving and stewardship to enhance engagement and fundraising effectiveness Provides oversight, direction, coaching and development for operations staff, promoting collaboration, accountability and best practices Ensures shared services meet the needs of major gifts, principal gifts and annual giving teams Ensures operational alignment with fundraising strategy and enterprise priorities Oversees all aspects of philanthropy operations, including database management, gift processing, reporting and analytics Ensures accurate and timely reporting of fundraising results, campaign progress and donor activity Implements and maintains policies, procedures and technology platforms to enhance operational efficiency Leads teams in donor services, prospect research and analytics, ensuring high-quality, consistent support for fundraising staff Ensures compliance with regulatory, financial and ethical standards in all fundraising operations Identifies process improvements and technology solutions that enhance productivity and donor engagement Works closely with accounting/finance, legal, compliance, IT and other system departments to streamline operations and reporting Supports fundraising leadership in developing dashboards, performance metrics and operational insights Collaborates with philanthropy leadership and system departments to drive efficiency, compliance and effectiveness Education Master's Degree - or relevant professional certification (CFRE, FAHP, CAP, PMP, etc.) - Required Upon Hire Work Experience 10 Years - of progressively responsible experience in philanthropy operations, advancement services, fundraising administration or related field - Required Upon Hire 5 Years - of leadership experience managing teams and multiple operational functions - Required Upon Hire Demonstrated experience overseeing fundraising systems, donor databases, gift processing, reporting, prospect research, analytics and operational strategy - Required Upon Hire Experience developing and implementing operational policies, procedures and performance metrics - Required Upon Hire Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving accounting/finance, legal, compliance, IT and executive leadership - Required Upon Hire Familiarity with HIPAA considerations as they relate to grateful patient programs and data handling - Required Upon Hire Experience within a complex healthcare system, academic medicine environment, or multi-entity nonprofit organization - Preferred Experience supporting capital campaigns and major/principal gift programs - Preferred Knowledge of planned giving administration, donor stewardship programs, annual giving and fundraising communications -
