Position Summary We are currently hiring a Director, People Systems to join our Human Resources team and oversee the maintenance of the company’s HRIS systems, run reports, and develop strategies to align support systems. The Director of People Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for the vision, architecture, and operational excellence of the organization’s HR technology ecosystem. This role leads the strategic roadmap for HRIS and adjacent systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with the business's long-term goals. The Director will lead a team of HRIS professionals, drive digital transformation, and partner with executive stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into automated, data-driven solutions. This role serves as the bridge between HR strategy and IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration, data integrity, and a superior employee experience. This role pays an annual salary of $150,000 - $200,000 and is bonus eligible. Responsibilities Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for the People Systems portfolio, ensuring alignment with broader organizational strategy and workforce planning initiatives. Partner with executive leadership and senior HR stakeholders to understand future business needs, translating them into scalable system requirements and investment proposals. Direct, mentor, and develop a team of HRIS analysts and managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and agility. Manage strategic vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, SLAs, and market evaluations for new technologies (HCM, ATS, LMS, and Analytics platforms). Direct and oversee the system architecture of the HR technology stack, ensuring optimal data flow and integration between all HRIS, Payroll, and third-party applications. Champion intelligent automation across the HR function, identifying opportunities for AI, machine learning, and RPA to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. Direct the planning, design, testing, and deployment of major system releases, upgrades, and patches, ensuring robust change management practices to minimize disruption and maximize adoption. Serve as the executive owner of HR data integrity, establishing comprehensive data governance policies, security protocols, and audit procedures to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Drive the evolution of HR reporting capabilities by overseeing the development of advanced, complex reports and dashboards (e.g., Composite and Matrix reports in ADP) that provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Present complex data narratives and system performance metrics to the C-Suite, translating technical details into clear business outcomes and ROI. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to evaluate HR processes and identify efficiency gains through system enhancements. Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and Payroll to ensure alignment on security, compliance, and audit requirements. Oversee the intake, prioritization, and management of HR technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5-7+ years of experience working in HRIS or systems-based roles. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Experience and knowledge of current HRIS technical best practices, policies, and procedures. Experience with the principles and techniques of report writing, database tables, and systems integration. Experience reading project specifications and technical systems. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written form. Organized and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or a stringent schedule while providing accurate results. Ability to work independently and demonstrate the ability to exercise effective judgment and initiative. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others. Preferred Experience & Qualifications: More than 4 years of experience working in HRIS / HR operations. Experience within large employers (greater than 5000 employees). Experience in/with operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility. Experience in methods, techniques, and procedures to repair and maintain all computer and phone-related materials Working Conditions: Minimal Travel: Less than 10% travel may be required. Trips may require air travel and/or an overnight stay away from home for one or more nights. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required.
