Is this job info correct?

At Bristol Myers Squibb, our employees often ask, “Who are you working for?”—a question that fuels collaboration, accountability, and urgency in our work. Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it. The Director, Procurement Excellence will design, launch, and lead an AI-native Change Management Center of Excellence (CM CoE) that accelerates awareness, engagement, and adoption of key strategic Global Procurement (GP) initiatives. This role partners closely with the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Extended Leadership Team (XLT), and Program/Project Leads to translate GP's vision and strategy into clear messaging, coordinated execution, and measurable adoption outcomes. The role also leads periodic leadership alignment forums and offsites, serves as a thought partner and driver for special projects that translate emerging ideas into tangible, quantifiable business value, and establishes the governance, reporting, and portfolio-oversight practices needed to give GP leadership a consistent, real-time view of initiative health across the function. The ideal candidate brings a blend of change management leadership, strategic communications, executive facilitation, and PMO-style governance experience, with a builder's mindset for standing up new organizational capabilities, including the applied use of AI tools from the ground up. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Change Management Center of Excellence (CM CoE) Leadership Design and launch an AI-native Change Management CoE that facilitates and accelerates awareness, engagement, and adoption for key strategic Procurement initiatives. Create an intake process that assesses initiative risk, complexity, and impact, and prioritizes change efforts accordingly; oversee delivery outcomes of key change initiatives across the GP portfolio. Create fit-for-purpose change strategies, partnering with the CPO and SLT to prioritize initiatives and align critical stakeholders, and realign CM plans as needed to deliver optimal KPI results. Oversee and build the capabilities of a global team to design and deliver CM support within key Program structures, partnering closely with Program Leads and Project Managers. Use Claude and other BMS AI tools to efficiently deliver CM support in engaging, creative, and cost-effective ways. Develop partnerships with key internal stakeholders, including Corporate Affairs, Learning, IT, HRBPs, and GBO Leadership Team members, to facilitate alignment and resource development. Report on overall organizational change saturation/fatigue to the CPO and SLT, recommend optimal timing of strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement. Global Procurement Strategy Partner with the CPO and SLT to define and document the Global Procurement vision, strategy, and execution approach. Create and oversee delivery of a messaging and awareness strategy with the Communications Director and Corporate Affairs representatives across Global Procurement, ensuring all GP colleagues understand the vision and strategy and can articulate the value GP brings to the rest of BMS. Ensure leaders consistently articulate what GP is focused on, why it matters, and how GP efforts connect to BMS enterprise value. Monitor shifts in the internal and external environment that could affect GP strategy or priorities and recommend adjustments to the vision or execution approach as needed. Maintain a core strategy narrative and supporting materials (e.g., one-pagers, FAQs, talking points) that leadership can reuse consistently across forums and communications. Leadership Alignment and Facilitation Partner with the CPO, SLT, XLT, and communications lead to design and facilitate periodic (e.g., quarterly) in-person summits, alignment meetings, and offsites. Recommend and shape agendas to accomplish specific objectives for each session. Collaborate with planning team members to create an engaging, high-value experience for participants that aligns with the GP vision and strategy. Collect and review feedback for continuous improvement, incorporating lessons learned into future sessions. Maintain a calendar of leadership alignment touchpoints, sequencing them appropriately alongside other GP communications and initiatives. Rewire Procurement / Special Projects Collaborate with GP leadership to translate 'big ideas' into tangible outcomes for one-off workforce projects and initiatives. Support articulation of the 'so what' and translate this into quantifiable business value that can be used for business cases and prioritization. Act as a thought partner on prioritization of efforts, factoring in current organizational change fatigue, alignment with BMS strategy, and new opportunities to create value through AI. Promote pressure-testing of priorities, tradeoffs, and resourcing decisions with the SLT to drive focus and clarity. Support business leads with translating strategy into coordinated roadmaps for execution. Procurement Excellence Governance & PMO Practices Establish and lead a lightweight governance function, defining the structure, processes, and standards by which strategic initiatives are intaken, tracked, and reported across GP. Develop and implement governance methodologies and best practices, establishing standard toolkits for project/change reporting, governance, and communication across the Procurement function. Create a standard set of visual analytics and KPIs that drive a common view of initiative health and enable proactive decision-making across levels of leadership. Monitor performance of key initiatives across the GP portfolio, providing oversight and guidance to initiative owners, Program Leads, and project teams, and present portfolio reports to the CPO and SLT. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the initiative portfolio (e.g., change fatigue, resourcing gaps, timeline slippage), developing contingency plans and monitoring risk throughout each initiative's lifecycle. Allocate CM CoE and governance resources effectively across concurrent initiatives, and develop and mentor a high-performing global team of change and governance practitioners. Continuously evaluate and improve governance and engagement processes and tools and manage the Procurement Excellence budget to ensure resources are allocated appropriately. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum education of a bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, communications, or a related field. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in change management, organizational transformation, or strategic communications, including at least five (5) years in a leadership role. Proven track record of building and leading a Center of Excellence, PMO, or comparable governance capability from the ground up. Strong executive presence, with demonstrated experience partnering with C suite and senior leadership teams. Experience designing and facilitating executive offsites, summits, or alignment sessions. Experience establishing governance frameworks, KPI/reporting dashboards, and portfolio-level risk management practices. Familiarity with applying AI tools (e.g., Claude) to communications, content development, and change delivery. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a highly matrixed, global, remote-first organization. Change management certification (e.g., Prosci) highly desirable; project/portfolio management certification (e.g., PMP) a plus. #LI-Hybrid #USProcurement We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
