For this job we are currently only hiring candidates based in the United States, with a preference for candidates based in New York City. About the Role Ontra is seeking a Director, Product Operations reporting to our SVP of Product on our Build team. We’re looking for someone excited to redefine operational processes, innovate AI-driven playbooks, and develop cutting-edge AI tools to propel our Build organization into the future. If you are a dynamic orchestrator who aligns product management, user experience, engineering, and data teams while owning processes that drive planning and organizational learning, we’d love to get to know you! What You’ll Do Team Leadership: Oversee and guide the Operations team, including making a strategic hire to transform the team into an AI-native operations unit. Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to refine organizational rituals and processes that enhance collaborative efforts. Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with GTM and G&A departments to establish and manage critical touchpoints with the Build organization. Process Development: Create and manage the process, playbook, and tools for developing and launching new products and enhancing existing software products. AI Integration: Focus on evolving the organization's operations to be AI-native, rethinking processes like customer feedback capture and release management. Team Expansion: Recruit and integrate a new team member to focus on the development of AI tools, ensuring smooth backfill for the outgoing operations leader. What You’ll Bring Experience: 7+ years in Operations leadership, with 2+ years in a Head of role. Cross-Functional Orchestration: Demonstrated ability to align Product Management, User Experience, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure cohesive teamwork. Process & Operating Rhythm Design: Proven expertise in designing and managing the systems for planning, roadmapping, goals, and learning cadence, acting as both a facilitator and driver. Strategic Ambiguity Navigation: Ability to transform broad, undefined mandates into clear, actionable strategies and initiatives, with experience in launching new programs. Executive Communication: Skillful in simplifying complex information and motivating both teams and executives effectively. Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation, which are not included in the below base pay range.
