Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant

  • $124,535 per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Full time / Ongoing
  • Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home – 3 days a week in office)

As our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Consultant, you will be instrumental in delivering initiatives that strengthen inclusion, remove barriers to equity and help embed a safe, respectful and inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are a key part of our success. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organisation, partnering with leaders, employees and stakeholders to advance WorkSafe's DEI maturity. As a dynamic professional, you'll bring fresh thinking, evidence-based insights and a passion for driving positive organisational change.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement strategic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and action plans that enhance inclusion, support organisational priorities and meet legislative obligations.
  • Lead end-to-end DEI programs, including planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery, evaluation and reporting to drive meaningful workforce outcomes.
  • Partner with People & Culture, leaders and employees to provide expert advice on inclusive policies and practices, workforce diversity, equity barriers and cultural capability.
  • Leverage workforce data, research and insights to monitor progress, evaluate impact and inform evidence-based DEI strategies and future initiatives.
  • Work closely with WorkSafe’s DEI employee led networks, while collaborating with external experts to ensure initiatives reflect leading and emerging practice.
  • , Prepare high-quality briefings and communications, and ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance and record-keeping requirements.

About you

You are an experienced DEI, or People & Culture professional who is passionate about fostering inclusive workplaces and delivering meaningful organisational change. You combine strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate data and insights into practical, evidence-based outcomes. You enjoy building trusted relationships, influencing at all levels and creating opportunities for people to feel a genuine sense of belonging at work.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering diversity, equity and inclusion programs within a complex organisation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
  • Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to analyse workforce data, identify trends and translate insights into practical actions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports, briefings and presentations.

Qualifications – Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Psychology or a related discipline.
