Aspen Group, Inc has an opening for a full time Assistant Program Director in the Doctor of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) Program. This is a REMOTE position. The DNP Assistant Program Director is responsible for the administration, implementation, and evaluation of the nurse practitioner education program and the achievement of the program outcomes in collaboration with program faculty. The Assistant Director provides leadership, operational and management oversight, and day-to-day administrative functions for the DNP Program. The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the program, including developing and modeling effective teaching practices; ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives; evaluating outcomes; and recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of program faculty. Additionally, the Assistant Director is expected to work toward achieving both the program learning outcomes and the mission; mentoring, motivating, and advising; monitoring clinical and immersion experiences; assisting with evaluating student performance; and assisting students toward successful program completion. This is a remote position; the Assistant Director oversees the roles of the lead faculty and adjunct faculty. This position may carry a teaching load. Essential Duties and Functions: Provide leadership and guidance to the DNP program, including assessment, evaluation, attrition, retention, program completion, and planning Monitor student complaints Provide oversight for the Office of Field Experience, especially as it relates to clinical sites, preceptor approval, field experiences, and policies and procedures affecting DNP students Effectively facilitate learning and learner development through regular and substantive interaction. Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation in the discipline. Monitor adequacy of clinical immersion and the experiential learning components of the program Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise standards for students' progression, retention, and graduation. Use both disciplinary and institutional assessment and evaluation strategies. Evaluate program outcomes such as key performance indicators and learning outcome results. Lead program improvement efforts, including active contribution to and participation in the educational effectiveness program (systematic evaluation), academic program review, and annual student learning assessments; leading curriculum improvement to ensure that student needs and learning objectives are met. Prepare students for and monitor pass rates on national licensure exams. Provide outreach to the community and prospective students. Providing direction to program faculty, particularly in modeling and ensuring adherence to program, college, and University policies and decisions. Work collaboratively with the Program Director, Assistant Dean and/or Dean to select adjunct and full-time faculty for the program. Participation in Shared Governance activities, including developing, updating, and disseminating any program-unique policies and procedures necessary to ensure both program excellence and compliance with College and University policies and procedures. Maintaining selected programmatic accreditations and certifications. Maintaining a climate that promotes creativity and intellectual innovation. Complete self-studies and attend to regulatory compliance as needed Support DNP Residency and live experiences Other duties as assigned The above functions are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this job. Education and Experience : DNP in Nursing is required, with at least 1 year experience DNP Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the home state Experience with the application of evidence in clinical practice Experience with distance learning and online academic technology Leadership experience preferred Work Environment: This is a remote position that requires working from home using a university-provided laptop. The role involves regular use of email, video conferencing, and other online tools to communicate and complete tasks. A quiet workspace and a reliable internet connection are essential. While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and walk a distance of up to 400 meters. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
