Drafting & Estimating Assistant for a Commercial Company in Australia (Home Based Full Time)

Client Information The Company is an established commercial fit-out and custom joinery business with integrated manufacturing capabilities, delivering tailored solutions for a diverse range of commercial projects. Supported by a skilled team of full-time employees, regular contractors, and specialist subcontractors, the business provides end-to-end services from design support and fabrication through to installation. Operational functions, including estimating, technical documentation, project coordination, and administration, are currently managed internally by the ownership team, ensuring consistent oversight and efficient project delivery Job Description • Prepare accurate shopfitting and cabinetry drawings, ensuring documentation is completed to a high standard and is ready for manufacturing and installation. • Assist with estimating and quotation preparation by completing material take-offs, calculating quantities, and obtaining supplier pricing for commercial projects. • Produce manufacturing documentation, including cutting lists and workshop drawings, to support efficient production and project delivery. • Liaise with suppliers and the internal team by managing pricing requests, following up on enquiries, and maintaining accurate project documentation. • Provide general project administration and coordination support to assist with the smooth delivery of multiple projects. • Adapt to changing business priorities by supporting drafting, estimating, procurement, and related tasks as workload requires. Must Haves • Experience producing technical drafting and construction drawings. • Strong estimating and quotation preparation skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to interpret construction and cabinetry plans. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. • Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
