In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as a Drawing Applications Specialist (SME) to create realistic, challenging computer-based tasks using drawing, design, drafting, diagramming, or related visual software. You will design practical computer tasks, document them clearly in SuperAnnotate, ensure your computer setup supports the task, and record yourself executing the task on your computer.
Tasks may involve tools such as SketchUp, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, CorelDRAW, Procreate, Krita, Visio, Lucidchart, diagramming tools, vector design tools, CAD tools, raster drawing tools, or other drawing applications, depending on your area of expertise. You may create workflows involving layouts, diagrams, technical drawings, illustrations, 3D models, annotations, exports, file organization, or other software-based drawing tasks.
This role is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your drawing-application expertise directly helps improve the world’s premier AI models by teaching them how real users complete practical design, drawing, diagramming, and technical visual workflows on a computer.
Key Responsibilities
- Create realistic computer tasks: Come up with realistic and challenging tasks that can be executed on the computer using a drawing, design, drafting, CAD, diagramming, or visual software application, then document the task clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare the work environment: Ensure your setup supports the task, including having the required programs installed, files available, assets prepared, and any necessary references or tools ready before recording.
- Record task execution: Record yourself executing the task on your computer while following project instructions and ensuring the workflow is clear, complete, and realistic.
- Document task context: Provide enough task context, steps, goals, files, and notes so reviewers can understand what the task is, why it is realistic, and how it was completed.
- Demonstrate practical software use: Complete workflows involving drawing, editing, layout setup, diagramming, scaling, labeling, exports, file organization, or troubleshooting where relevant.
- Maintain submission quality: Review your recording and documentation before submission to ensure the task is complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.
