Dynamics 365 F&O Developer and Reporting Controller

Purpose and Background To strengthen our finance systems and reporting capabilities, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer and Reporting Controller to join our FP&A and Finance Operations team. Position Summary The Dynamics 365 F&O Developer and Reporting Controller plays a critical role in bridging finance, technology, and business intelligence. The role is responsible for the development, optimization, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations while ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, analytics, and internal controls across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Finance Operations, IT, Program Operations, and external partners to improve system performance, automate processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and support data-driven decision-making across global operations. Key areas of responsibility Dynamics 365 F&O Development and Support Design, develop, customize, and maintain solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Configure and support financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting. Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications and organizational systems. Create and optimize workflows, reports, dashboards, and data models. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance optimization. Manage data migrations, system enhancements, and release deployments. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and internal control requirements. Financial Reporting and Control Develop, maintain, and automate financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. Design and monitor key financial performance indicators and dashboards. Ensure financial data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems. Support donor reporting requirements and grant financial reporting. Conduct data analysis and reconcile financial information between systems and reports. Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within finance processes. Assist in strengthening financial controls, compliance frameworks, and audit readiness. Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft reporting tools. Create data visualizations that support strategic and operational decision-making. Maintain reporting data models and reporting architecture. Support self-service reporting initiatives across the organization. Stakeholder Engagement and Training Act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and other country offices. Provide user support, troubleshooting, and system training. Develop user guides, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures. Support change management initiatives related to finance systems transformation. Qualifications and Experience Essential Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or a related field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Strong experience in X++, extensions, integrations, and Dynamics 365 development frameworks. Experience with Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate. Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles. Experience developing financial reports, dashboards, and management information systems. Proven experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Fluent in English. Desirable Experience within an NGO, INGO, humanitarian, donor-funded, or international organization. Knowledge of grant management and donor compliance requirements. Experience with Azure services, Dataverse, and Microsoft Fabric. Knowledge of Accounting is a plus for this role. Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications. Full time Location: Global office in Vällingby/Stockholm Typ of employment: Permanent position (six-month probationary period). Possibility for remote work, 2 days a week, after 6 months. Start date by agreement or as soon as possible.
