Help build the next phase of growth at Cat Elite
Cats deserve comfort. Owners deserve less hassle. That’s what we work on at Cat Elite every day. Our products, from drinking fountains and feeders to self-cleaning litter boxes, make life easier, cleaner and more comfortable for cats and their owners alike.
We’ve grown fast through marketplaces such as Bol.com, and we’re now rapidly building out Cat Elite as our own D2C brand. We’re active in the Netherlands and Belgium, the webshop is growing month over month, and international expansion is on the roadmap (Germany and France by the end of the year).
Our own webshop is now becoming increasingly important. The next phase is about reaching more customers through our own channels, stronger campaigns, better conversion, and less dependence on marketplaces alone.
That’s why we’re looking for an E-commerce Specialist who will continuously help improve our Shopify webshop and customer journey. Someone who spots opportunities in data and customer behaviour, understands CRO well, and is also able to put improvements into practice.
Why this role?
This is not a cog in a big machine. You’re joining at a moment when your work can make an immediate difference. You’ll become a co-owner of the webshop funnel: from the first click on the website to product choice, order, cross-sell and email follow-up.
• Direct impact on webshop growth. You’ll work on improvements that are visible both in the webshop and in the results.
• Practical and analytical. You look at data, customer behaviour and commercial opportunities, but above all translate insights into action.
• Learn faster through short lines of communication. You’ll work directly with Gino, former Head of Digital Products at VodafoneZiggo, and with the founders — without corporate layers.
• Grow along with the role. As Cat Elite continues to scale up, your role can grow toward more responsibility over the webshop, CRO and e-commerce operations.
• Fully remote and independent. Plenty of freedom, clear responsibility and visible output.
What will you do?
You’ll become an important link within our D2C team and work directly with Gino, who sets direction on strategy, brand and commercial priorities. You’ll make sure our Shopify webshop and customer journey keep getting better.
Your goal is to get more value out of our own channels: higher conversion, a higher average order value, stronger product selection and a smoother customer journey. In concrete terms, that means:
• You manage and optimise our Shopify webshop: you can adjust or configure pages, products, settings and apps yourself where needed.
• You spot opportunities for improvement in data, customer behaviour, reviews, customer questions and campaigns, and translate them into concrete webshop and CRO actions.
• You help think through ways to increase conversion and order value, for example through better product presentation, bundles, add-ons or email flows.
• You initiate and coordinate improvements to the webshop and customer journey: from insight and action plan through to follow-up, QA and go-live.
• You oversee the D2C campaign planning and make sure actions, website changes and email translations are well aligned with each other.
• You work together with external designers, developers and marketing partners, and keep an overview of planning, feedback and execution.
The core of your role is that you not only spot commercial opportunities, but also help turn them into improvements that actually go live.
Who are you?
You have around 3 to 5 years of experience in e-commerce, Shopify, CRO or webshop management — for example at a webshop, an agency or a larger e-commerce player. You’re ready for more ownership and visible impact than you currently have.
You recognise yourself in the following:
• You’re practical and analytical: you spot opportunities and know how to turn them into action.
• You have experience with Shopify, CRO and A/B testing, and know how to get improvements live in practice.
• You understand how webshop, customer journey, campaigns, email and conversion connect.
• You help think about how to improve conversion and average order value.
• You work independently and in a structured way: you keep an overview, communicate clearly and make sure improvements are properly followed up.
• You communicate well in English; Dutch is a plus.
A nice bonus: email/CRM, Klaviyo, GA4, Hotjar/Clarity, or a good commercial/creative sense.
What do we offer?
• Plenty of freedom and ownership in a fully remote team.
• Room to develop toward more responsibility and direction as Cat Elite continues to scale up.
• A full-fledged role of 32–40 hours with a salary of €3,250–€3,750 gross per month on a fulltime basis, depending on your experience.
Practical details
• Hours: 32–40 hours per week.
• Location: Fully remote. You work from home, with occasionally a dedicated work session at a flexible location (mainly Amsterdam).
• Start date: to be discussed.

Great, that’s exactly what we like to hear. Send us your CV and a short motivation — tell us especially where you spotted an opportunity yourself and how you went about it. That tells us more than a long list of job titles.
