Early Careers in Pensions Administration – Register Your Interest!

Location: UK‑Wide

Employment Type: Permanent / Fixed Term / Part-Time

Previous pensions experience is not required for many of our entry‑level roles, as full training, support and professional development are provided.

For those with an interest in numbers, analysis or problem‑solving, our pensions administration careers also provide exposure that can support progression into technical, project or actuarial‑aligned roles over time.

Project & Specialist Exposure

We also regularly support early‑career individuals in developing toward roles within our Administration Projects Team (APT) — a growing area that delivers complex, high‑impact work across the business.

  • GMP Rectification and GMP Equalisation
  • Buy‑In / Buy‑Out Projects
  • Data Cleansing Exercises
  • Scheme Closures, Benefit Rectification & Liability Reduction Projects
  • McCloud Implementation (Police, Fire, MOJ & LGPS schemes)
  • Pension Dashboards
  • First‑time outsourcing and large‑scale transition activity

Some roles may offer increased remote flexibility depending on project requirements.

About Our Pensions Administration Business

Our award‑winning pensions administration teams provide services to a wide range of trust‑based pension schemes, including Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, CARE and hybrid schemes.

We adopt a scheme‑based administration model, where one team is responsible for every aspect of a client’s service — enabling deep relationships, clarity of ownership, and exceptional service.

Our Services Include

  • Day‑to‑day pension scheme administration

  • Member helpline and communications support
  • Scam monitoring and prevention

What We Look For – Early Careers & Career Changers

We welcome expressions of interest from people new to pensions, including those changing careers, returning to work, or entering the profession for the first time.

Essential

  • Interest in developing a long‑term professional career
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to learn and build technical knowledge
  • Ability to organise work and meet deadlines
  • Basic IT skills, including MS Word and Excel

Desirable (not Essential)

  • Customer service, office‑based or administrative experience
  • A‑Levels, degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Interest in professional pensions or actuarial qualifications

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (B/5 or above)
  • A‑Levels or equivalent experience (preferred)
