About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Ecommerce Bookkeeper to take total ownership of our financial records and turn QuickBooks Online data into reliable monthly reports. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bring structure to our multi-brand ecommerce accounts, perform monthly closes, and ensure clear audit trails. This is a dedicated bookkeeping and financial reporting role focused on operational accuracy—not a Head of Finance, tax strategy, or payment execution position.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Categorization: Record revenue, expenses, supplier bills, fees, and transfers in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate general ledger mapping across brands and entities.
• Ecommerce Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and sales platforms, matching payouts with sales, fees, chargebacks, and reserves while resolving discrepancies.
• Month-End Close & Reporting: Complete monthly closes and prepare accurate Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow summaries, and AP/AR reports.
• Documentation & Systems: Organize digital receipts, invoices, and supporting docs while building recurring reconciliation checklists and preparing clean records for external tax advisors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• English Proficiency: Fluent written and spoken English (Minimum B2+ level mandatory) for clear management communication.
• Technical Skills: Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for multi-entity data mapping.
• Accounting Fundamentals: Solid grasp of debits, credits, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• Work Style: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of investigating discrepancies independently under minimal supervision.

Background & Experience

• Proven Track Record: 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting operations experience, ideally within ecommerce or multi-brand business models.
• Reporting & Reconciliations: Proven experience independently driving month-end closes and reconciling complex payment processor payout structures.

Tools & Work Style

• Role Scope & Boundaries: Dedicated focus on accurate data entry and reporting. This role does not handle money transfers, payment approvals, tax filings, or external bank/advisor relations.
• Working Environment: Autonomous, proactive problem-solver comfortable working directly in a fast-paced, founder-led remote setup.
