Position : EDI Specialist Job Type: Full-time Status: Exempt Location: PA, Remote OVERVIEW: A successful candidate will be required to manage the full life cycle of a project with little or no supervision. This includes working with their technical peers from partner companies to analyze, develop, monitor, and support the data extraction, transformation, transfer, and loading processes to meet ours and our customer’s needs. Understanding of common data storage and transfer technologies such as SQL, XML and FTP is required. We are looking for someone who is very organized and can keep track of and work on multiple projects simultaneously. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in daily administration activities including monitoring, support, and maintenance of SQL Server databases Import and export data in various formats Assist application developers with troubleshooting and SQL performance Create and modify database objects Assist the help desk staff to troubleshoot SQL and database errors Perform other tasks as assigned by manager REQUIREMENTS: Strong T-SQL / ANSI SQL Skills Working Knowledge of Scripting Languages FTP / FTPS / SFTP / RESTful APIs Ability to read and write XML and Schema Definitions (XSD) Ability to Analyze Customer’s data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs • Create and Maintain detailed documentation and process flows Monitor incoming and outgoing data transfers for errors • Troubleshoot and resolve processing errors in a timely matter Great written and oral communication skills are a must REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 2 to 3 years RDBMS experience (Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or newer preferred) Writing complex SQL queries SQL Server Performance Tuning is a plus Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work in fast moving environment Ability to manage multiple tasks with different deadlines Knowledge of .Net Framework X12 / EDI Transactions (Specifically 837)- preferred not required PGP Encryption JAMS Scheduler (or other enterprise scheduling software) Altova Mapforce PowerShell EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college is preferred 1-3 years in Auto and/or Workers’ Compensation, Medical Claims, Independent Medical Exam and Peer Review account management experience EEOC STATEMENT: Medlogix is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
