This digital-first role shapes what the seed industry talks about next. The right person will think like a storyteller, a connector AND a brand leader, considering audience needs, brand positioning, content performance, competitive differentiation and business objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Build a Network

■ Be genuinely eager to meet people across the U.S. seed sector and build real, trusted relationships over time.

■ Stay current on the people, policies, research and technologies shaping the industry.

■ Notice emerging issues and stories worth telling, and chase them down.

Lead the Content

■ Set editorial direction for Seed World U.S. across digital, video, newsletters, social and print.

■ Turn complex topics into clear, engaging stories — and develop the recurring franchises that keep people coming back.

■ Research, write, edit and produce original articles, interviews, analysis and multimedia content.

■ Guide and edit freelancers and contributors.

Be a Visible Voice

■ Build a recognizable, approachable public presence as an authoritative industry voice.

■ Host video interviews, webinars, podcasts and live discussions.

■ Represent Seed World at conferences and industry events.

Grow the Audience and Brand

■ Own the editorial mission, voice and market position of Seed World U.S.

■ Think beyond the story itself — how it's packaged and distributed to reach the right audience.

■ Use analytics and engagement data to sharpen editorial and distribution decisions.

Work Across the Business

■ Partner with sales, marketing, digital, design and leadership on campaigns and client-supported programs.

■ Spot and shape partnership opportunities; manage assigned editorial budgets and freelance resources.

Work Smart

■ Use AI to speed up research and production, but rely on your own judgment, relationships and curiosity for the actual story.

■ Stay current on digital publishing, content management, analytics and video tools.

WHAT YOU BRING

■ Experience in editorial, communications, publishing, content strategy or agricultural communications.

■ Strong interviewing, writing and editing skills.

■ A genuine interest in agriculture; seed industry knowledge is a strong plus.

■ Confidence on camera and in front of professional audiences.

■ A natural ability to build trust and relationships.

■ Good judgment about what matters and how to tell the story.

■ The organization to manage multiple platforms, contributors and deadlines.

■ The initiative to work independently, think creatively, and build something better

■ Relevant education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
