Department Overview: The goal of our organization is relatively simple: to support the knowledge and skill development of child welfare professionals (workers, supervisors, directors, and providers) and caregivers (foster parents, adoptive parents, guardians, and congregate care providers). We do this by providing innovative, research-based, learner centered, and culturally responsible learning opportunities to those who promote the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families. Anticipated Start Date: 10/01/2026 Anticipated End Date (If Applicable): n/a Remote Work Eligibility Detail: All Remote Anticipated Hours Per Week: Minimum: 7 Maximum: 10 Schedule: variable Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: Minimum: $18 Maximum: $18 Number of Positions: 2 Qualifications: • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at UW-Madison. • Interest in learning and working with educational technologies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : • Oral and written communication skills. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Problem-solving and organizational skills. Position Summary/Job Duties: • Support the PDS Online Administrator in the day-to-day operation of Wisconsin Child Welfare's Learning Management System (LMS). • Assist with system maintenance activities, including: o Updating system information and content o Reviewing and validating data o Assisting with documentation and review of system updates and new releases o Researching and testing new LMS features and functionality • Create instructional resources, including written how-to guides and video tutorials. • Review and beta test online training courses before they are released to learners, identifying issues and providing feedback to improve the user experience. • Update and maintain content and images in Pressbooks. • Edit videos and add captions using Kaltura to support accessible learning experiences.
