This small team pushes the boundaries of personalized education through proven effectiveness and experimentation. Our Education and Content Generation teams are working more and more with using AI to create personalized and effective learning content. This internship focuses on evaluating and optimizing the efficacy of distractor answer options for multiple choice questions, helping us understand their true educational impact and enhancing the capabilities of our exercises. 🎮 What will you do? Methodology development: Research, design, and develop robust both quantitative as well as qualitative methodologies for measuring the efficacy of the distractor answers, focusing on learning outcomes, user engagement, and academic improvements. Content creation: Implementation of your research by assisting the Education team and Content Generation team with your methodology and created distractor answers. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues from the Education team, Content Generation team, data scientists, and software engineers to implement experiments and interpret findings. State-of-the-art research: Explore contemporary methodologies and frameworks related to distractor answer design, leveraging insights from current research literature. 🌟 Your role and impact Background in Psychometrics, Educational Sciences, (Behavioural) Data Science, AI, or a related quantitative field. Strong statistical background and experience in experimental design and metric development. Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL) and experience working in relational databases. Proficiency in R or Python and experience with relevant data analysis libraries. Demonstrated experience or coursework related to ML based clustering algorithms. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and embedding APIs. A highly analytical and methodical mindset, able to conduct independent research as well as collaborate effectively in a team.
