EHS Client Manager

Position Overview Amerit Fleet Solutions is a leading provider of fleet maintenance and repair services across the United States. Backed by New Mountain Capital, Amerit is rapidly expanding through both acquisitions and organic growth. Amerit is looking for an EHS Client Manager. The Client Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Manager will provide EHS Support for a specific segment to support a dynamic and developing EHS program and culture. The Client EHS Manager owns the safety program implementation and management of various programs in the field. The right candidate for this role must not have a rigid approach to safety, but must be adaptable, creative, and collaborative, with a keen ability to build relationships, prioritize tasks, and satisfy multiple stakeholders’ needs. Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $115,000 - $125,000 base salary depending on experience and location. Full benefits within 30 days Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance 401(k) match program Unlimited vacation, holidays, and sick time Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University Employee referral program, up to $500 bonus ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus Employee recognition platform that includes opportunities to redeem points for merchandise Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 24/7 nurse triage line Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Provides expert advice and consultation to stakeholders for implementing hazard controls, safety training, compliance to local, state, federal, and company/client standards, and other relevant topics.• Conducts incident and injury investigations, risk assessments, audits, walkthroughs, and inspections.• Develop action plans based on investigations, assessments, audits, walkthroughs to drive continuous improvement in areas of opportunities and close compliance gaps. • Engage, motivate, influence, and be able to align at all levels, implementing EHS strategies to reduce incidents, drive compliance and align the safety culture across the segment to meet Amerit values.• Work with the operational teams to improve safety enhancements that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards.• Facilitate implementation of continuous improvement and compliance assurance programs to ensure that sites comply with applicable regulatory/client/Company requirements and are always “inspection ready”. • Coaches and mentors field management teams on EHS matters, encouraging continuous improvement.• Supports facilities in the timely reporting of EHS matters to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.• Identifies best practices and strategically integrates and implements them into segment specfic EHS plans.• Analyzes EHS metrics, communicating and implementing action plans to address trends.• Responds and provides real time assistance in emergency situations. Ideal Candidate will have:• Minimum 5 years in an EHS role.• Significant knowledge, expertise, and experience in EHS and demonstrated ability to integrate EHS into broader business and operations processes.• Deeply understand business and operational strategies and objectives and apply and align them with EHS strategies and objectives in order to develop integrated solutions and win as one team.• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, are required. Must be able adjust communication styles and approaches to different situations and audiences.• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, collaborative leadership style are required to influence and effectively work with team members at all levels throughout the company. Must be able to foster constructive dialogue, build consensus, and address conflicting views.• Preferred Environmental Health Specialist (EHS) Professional certification or a bachelor’s degree. • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
