Electrical Engineer - Relay Settings

Locations: Bryan, TX or Denver, CO  Hybrid role — minimum 1 day per week onsite.   Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage relay settings for SEL, GE, ABB, and similar relay platforms. Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using CAPE, ASPEN, and ETAP. Conduct relay misoperation analysis using Wavewin and SEL SynchroWave. Develop and review NERC PRC compliance reports. Create relay settings for wide-area coordination and generator projects. Perform power system studies including load flow, grounding, transformer sizing, and short-circuit analysis. Apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards. Coordinate with project teams and clients to support successful project execution. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred). 2+ years of relevant experience. Experience with protective relaying, relay settings, and power system studies. Ability to read one-line diagrams, control schematics, and wiring diagrams. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel up to 10%.
