Our financial services client is looking for a REMOTE Marketing Automation Strategist. This FULLY-REMOTE contract starts as soon as we've identified the ideal candidate, and will continue (40 hours per week) through the end of the year (with potential extension).
This position will create and maintain marketing automation efforts focusing on email marketing, automation building and overall maintenance. Tasks will include building emails, list management, distribution, reporting and presenting analytics, creating marketing automation workflows, etc. In addition to these tasks, the Marketing Automation Strategist will serve as back up for updating and maintaining online content for websites. Furthermore, this position will analyze and report on findings, trends, and best practices to each business line.
Marketing Automation Strategist Responsibilities:
- Independently build and monitor workflows/nurture campaigns for automated content/email releases
- Maintain the day to day scheduling, support and planning for all automation efforts
- Suggest and implement new strategies to grow outreach and lead through digital efforts
- Work with UX and CX staff members to develop customer journeys to increase engagement and user experience through all digital channels.
- Build and design emails in email marketing software
- Develop and administer tests for static and dynamic content, A/B testing and list segmentation
- Independently run and compile analytics reports for stakeholders using email marketing software and Microsoft Excel
- Manage subscription management, knowledge of requirements and laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc)
- Mindfulness of deliverability, segmentation strategy, reputation and best practices
- Understanding of HTML email coding, email rendering/design and troubleshooting common email problems
Marketing Automation Strategist Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Communication or related fields
- 3+ years of digital marketing experience
- Understanding and experience with Marketing Automation software, lead generation, and nurture/drip campaigns
- Proficient in email building software and tools
- Experience with Click Dimensions (preferred, not required)
- Familiar with CRM Dynamics and data management (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of marketing automation best practices
- Understanding and ability to code in HMTL and CSS (preferred)
- Ability to design and interpret technical specifications
- Ability to learn software applications and technical information quickly
- Ability to lead day to day email operations with minimal to no supervision
- Proficient decision-making skills regarding best practices for email and marketing automation
- Understanding of email marketing laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc)
- Familiarity with financial services products and processes is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with staff, end users, and management
- Presentation skills to showcase successes and failures of campaigns
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and time constraints
- Experience with developing cross-departmental consensus
- Highly self-motivated
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills to handle multiple projects and priorities
